I would just like to add additional information here. I have noticed this is the one post that is the most read and searched- so there is obvious interest. There are additional Correction Days once you begin P3 (Phase 3- the 3 weeks following your last day on HCG). Go here to view additional correction days. Among my favorite is the Chicken Day and the Egg Day: here is a post I wrote when I discovered these Alternative Correction Days. Love the alternative options available which work just as wonderfully as the Steak Day!
Do you know there's quite a few different takes on steak day. My favorite is a high fat day. Lots of eggs mayo and butter!

ReplyDeleteI found it too! I think I'm going to try it on Monday and/or Tuesday of next week in preparation for the Christmas Feasts. I am doing a steak day today (the traditional way), and am confident that I can get my weight back within range today, but it is nice to have an alternative.

ReplyDeleteNice, Caitlin! Thanks for letting everyone know about the Apple and Cheese Day alternative for P3 that I came up with. I'm actually writing a book now all about Maintenance and alternatives that I've been testing out.
ReplyDeleteThe P3 egg day mentioned is not fun, btw, it makes me a little nauseated every time I do it. :( And I've given the high fat idea a shot - it sort of does the same thing that loading does. If you like the loading days, that's a great option. I didn't like the loading days, though, so I tend to stay away from it. ::grins::

ReplyDeleteKindof nervous about it, but I'm going to give the Apple and Cheese Day a try today! I'm .6# over my 2# leeway and last time I did a steak day it worked great, so I'm hesitant to try this but I can't afford another steak! O_O
