Stretch marks, loose skin, liposuction, baggy boobs, breast augmentation, breast reduction, face lift, botox... the list goes on

Plastic surgery!!! Yikes, right?! Now, just so I get it all out right here and now- I am huge fan of Nip/Tuck. I know, pretty pathetic, but seriously I really like watching the horror and disgusting indulgences of various characters highlighted in the episodes. How and when did the concept of beauty get so distorted? Anyway, I read a post recently that got me to thinking. I HATE my stomach!!! Really, I know hate is a strong word, but I am not even going to take a picture to reveal what I am talking about. Words, ought to be enough. I am one of those women. One of those who has skin that did not do so well with pregnancy. Seriously, how do some of you not have stretch marks that resemble a road map of the United States of America (or worse yet, a topographical map)? I hate you all. :) haha! No, I am kidding. Anyway, I don't know how my tummy will look when I am 20-25 pounds lighter (and not really sure about my bust either? I wish some of that fat HCG moves around would be deposited up there), but even now my tummy is just very unattractive and I am glad I have a husband who doesn't seem to mind. :)

However, I am not too concerned because I don't plan on wearing a bikini or anything else that might show my belly in public. I can't really say I am proud of my stretch marks or loose skin, or honestly view them as well my baby scars and badges of honor, etc... I just can't and if you saw them you would understand. :) Would I ever go under the knife, probably not. I am all for the concept of plastic surgery boosting one's self-esteem and really improving a person's life, but right now I am just happy to look nice in clothes and who really cares what it all looks like underneath. :) Too risky for me and I guess my vanity is not significant enough at the moment.

Oh, and by the way- should my blog have a content warning? (I think it is pretty neat on yours, Christy :)). I mean, with the language, pinup girls, crazy ramblings and scary pictures of yours truly, etc... :) I hope no kids are happening across, Hello, HCG!.

  1. I'm so feeling you!!! I really can't stand my stomach! Stretch marks are so ugly. Take a look at my new pics you can see them. But you know what? I love what HCG is doing to my body! It's not perfect and never will be but I'm not fat anymore!!! Being in fat hell was the worse thing for me (materialistically speaking..I mean lots of things much worse have happened to me..but you know what I'm saying, right?). Anyway, I appreciate the body given to me now and I so promise to love it and take care of it. Now if I could afford it I would get rid of that annoying hanging fat..oh well.
Sorry for taking up so much of your space..lol..
    Great and honest post!

  3. Have you seen my belly pics? I don't have a perfect stomach, definitely stretch marks. My navel is not a perfect "o" but more of a sad egg shape. Give it time! The stretch marks do fade to barely noticable and the skin does tighten up. I had over hang but it is definitely melting thanks to HCG!

  4. I too hate the woman that can come out of pregnancy mark less. They must be inhuman lol. I have nice little stretch marks going across my lower back too from pregnancy. Thankfully they are really light. I plan on having a boob job and a tummy tuck if things go south lol
Thank goodness there are plastic surgeons. I want Dr 90210 lol

  5. Thank you for the comments, everyone! Funny, candid topic! Our bodies are crazy things and it always strikes me as interesting how we perceive them to be either beautiful or ugly. So, tummy you better not look like you do forever, because you just might get the boot. :) And at least everything is tightening up and not as bad, because if it is just the marks that is probably something I can live with!

  6. I didn't get stretch marks when I got pregnant... I got them when I first became fat. :P But seriously I did get a breast reduction. They are my battle scars - I got such a great boob afterward. It was also a little mini-lift as well. Heh. It wasn't so bad as long as you can take a serious week off and not do anything.

I was told to use a lot of Vit E on the marks afterwards. I did that for the most part. You can barely see them now a days, but they are under my boobs.
I wonder if you can start applying a Vit E (when not on hcg) onto the stretch marks? Check into that, it might help?

  7. Hehe ... I haven't seen you be vulgar yet. If you want to be, let her fly.

I plan on addressing some adult topics on my blog eventually (like non-monogamy), so I felt that I had to have that disclaimer.

The loose skin can be addressed through exercise (strength training or Pilates) once you're off hCG. Of course, I'm trying to exercise on hCG. If you put on a little muscle, the skin will have something to adhere to. The good news is that you don't have to put on a ton of muscle to see really good benefits. It will just take a little time. As far as the stretch marks go, there are several good creams that help a lot of people. If those don't work for you, you could always have either the gel/light treatments or laser "surgery" (which is actually non-invasive).

  9. Do you know how quickly HCG injections can be restarted after breast augmentation?

  10. Liposuction is also known as liposuction and suction lipectomy. People generally believe that this process is limited hip and stomach areas.
